Connections 25 – June 2020

May’s Connections finished with

‘Brickhouse’ (1977) by The Commodores.  We followed producer James Anthony Carmichael to

‘Hello’ (1983) by Lionel Richie.  Guitarist Peter Banks was on the track so we linked him to

‘No Opportunity Necessary’  (1970) recorded by Yes and written by Richie Havens in 1967.  We then followed writer Havens to

‘Sugarplums’ (1967) and feautured Warren Bernhardt on keyboards.  We moved Warren on to

‘Peg’ (1994) a live version from the ‘Alive In America’ album by Steely Dan.  Bassist Tom Barney we linked to

‘Every Ghetto, Every City’ (1998) by Lauryn Hill and then followed keyboard player John R Stevens (aka John Legend) to the last song of the show

‘Compared To What’ (2010) from the Wake Up album with The Roots

Who can we link to the next song in Conections 26!?
