Connections 24 – May 2020

Connections 24 May 2020

Connections 23 had finished with ‘Night Owl’ (1972) by Carly Simon.  Doris Troy was a backing vocalist on the song so we followed her to

‘Poor Boy’ (1970) by Nick Drake from his Bryter Layter album.  Another backing singer on that song was P P Arnold so we linked her to another of her backing vocals on

‘River Deep, Mountain High’ (1966) by Ike and Tina Turner. We followed Tina Turner to

‘Private Dancer’ released in 1984. Keyboardist Nick Plytas was on the LP so we moved him on to

‘All Aboard’ (1977) by Roogalator on Stiff Records and then we linked drummer Justin Hildreth to

‘Hyperactive’ (1984) by Thomas Dolby. For our last track of Connections 24 we finished by following a guest on the LP, Lionel Richie to

‘Brick House’ by The Commodores.

Who will we chain to the opening song of Connections 25 in June?
